This presentation focuses on the political and cultural activism of Mexican Americans at St. Mary's during the Civil Rights and Chicano era of the 1960s and 1970s whe, for the first time, they made demands on society and the University consistent with their growing need for ethnic affirmation and commitment to social justice.
